How To Make Vanilla Extract
For best results, use approximately 1 ounce of vanilla beans per 8 ounces of alcohol (35% ABV or higher).
- Split your vanilla beans lengthwise.
- Place beans into the bottle.
- Fill with your preferred alcohol.
- Seal and store in a cool, dark place.
- Shake occasionally and allow to steep for 6–12 months.
